Flexible, qualified care designed to fit around school hours, home routines, and the community activities that matter most.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant during school hours (9am–3:30pm), I'm available for PA and care work from 3:30pm on weekday evenings, and all day on weekends and school holidays. This makes my support particularly well-suited to families who need skilled help during the hours that are hardest to fill.
Each service is shaped by your child's individual needs, goals, and the priorities you set as a family.
Home · Community
Dedicated, child-focused support either at home or out in the community. Rather than following a generic programme, each session is planned around what matters to your child on that day - building from what works and adapting when it doesn't.
I take time to learn how your child communicates, what helps them feel settled, and what goals you're working towards together. Every session has structure and purpose, but plenty of room for the child to lead.
Home · School transition
Structured support to help children develop the routines, communication skills, and practical independence that build confidence over time. This might be around morning or evening routines, self-care, meal times, or managing transitions between activities.
I draw on my classroom TA experience to break tasks into manageable steps, use consistent language and prompts, and celebrate progress - however small.
Trained · Certified
For children with more complex medical or care needs, I hold specialist training that goes beyond standard care. This includes medication awareness, epilepsy recognition and management, buccal midazolam administration, and safe moving and handling techniques.
All training is current, certificated, and available to view. This isn't just ticked boxes - I've applied these skills in real support settings.
After school · Transitions
After a school day, many children with SEN need time to decompress and a familiar, calm presence to help them transition from school mode to home. I can provide after-school support that bridges that gap - collecting from school, supporting wind-down routines, and helping the rest of the evening go more smoothly for the whole family.
My work as a SEND TA means I understand what a school day demands of children with additional needs, and what kind of support helps them recover from it.
Weekends · Holidays
Social and community participation matters - for children's confidence, wellbeing, and development. I support children to access activities, outings, and social opportunities that they might struggle to access independently or with family.
Whether that's a local park, a swimming session, a youth group, or just a trip to the shops - I help make it manageable, enjoyable, and purposeful. Weekends and school holidays are when this support is most in demand, and when I'm most available.
Ongoing · Responsive
Good care doesn't happen in a vacuum. I work alongside parents, other professionals, and the wider support network - sharing updates, feeding into plans, and flagging concerns promptly. You'll never be left wondering what happened in a session.
As a Personal Assistant, I can also support families with the logistical side of caring - coordinating with schools, attending relevant meetings where appropriate, and helping navigate the system around your child's needs.
Every child is an individual - but here are the areas where I have direct, meaningful experience.
Not sure if your child's needs are something I can support with? Just ask - I'll always be honest about whether I'm the right fit.
